Meet Gaylord & Emmanuel

Hello!
We are Gaylord and Emmanuel, and we are happy to introduce ourselves to you. We are French and we live in a medium-sized city near Switzerland. I, Gaylord, am chief accountant. I like to run, swim, and I cycle to work. I, Emmanuel, am a landscape designer specialized in historic gardens. I have studied in Versailles Castle near Paris, and now, I restore the gardens of prestigious castles. I like to spend time in flea market and tinkering.
We maintain a little garden where we grow the vegetables and fruits we like to cook. We like to spend time in nature and with our family and friends. We spend also a part of our free time in the house of Emmanuel’s parents. The house was built by his great-great-grandparents and is full of family memories. We have been together for ten years, and 2 cats came into our lives 5 years ago. We bought our flat in 2015 and did some refurbishment ourselves! When we moved in, the idea of having a child took root. We started this project six years ago now, firstly by choosing ORM clinic in Portland because of its high rates of success in reproductive medicine, and also because Portland is a beautiful city to visit. We came in 2019 for the sperm deposit, and now we have 3 embryos tested and ready for transfer. The physician of ORM is greatly confident in our chances of success.
After the birth, we hope to continue the relationship with you, the surrogate. It will be important for us to keep in contact and to send news of the child as he will grows up. We would also really like that he could know the person who gave him life, so he can understand how he occurred, and that he can realize how much love there was in this path. It would also be a good way to raise him with the English language, in addition to the French we will speak in our daily lives.
We are ready to devote our lives to our child. Our parenthood will be to help him to discover the world around him, and to teach him our values: the sense of family, to appreciate the beauty of the world and to preserve it, the sense of effort, the pleasure to be with friends, and trust. Gaylord’s brother will be a father in the next months, and it would be wonderful to see our child growing with his. Emmanuel’s parents are very interested in this project, and our friends are very supporting. They say that we would be fantastic parents.
We are dreaming to have a child, and we hope we will find the surrogate who will allow us to realize this dream. We are looking forward to meeting you and to start this exceptional human adventure with you!

Our dear future baby,
We can’t wait to meet you! We’ve waited and longed for you. All the stages Gaylord and I have gone through to be able to write these few words to you today…
You’re the little child we’ve always dreamed of… Our meeting will be magical, because providence has put in your path two dads who will love and welcome you as much as your surrogate mother, who carried you inside her for nine months.
There are no words to describe what we’re hoping for from this meeting… When you’re here, we’ll have so many things to tell you, our whole family wants to bring you the best, to see you grow up and give you all the love we have… This love will grow from day to day, to the point where you’ll make us discover new feelings by sharing immense moments of happiness in your presence.
Every day, step by step, we’ll learn how to help you grow, discover life and become the most beautiful person you can be. We’re here waiting for you, ready to support you and welcome you into our home.
We’re already so proud of you…! Understanding the world around you, chirping, saying “Mommy and Daddy” from Canada, around 10 months old, eating little pieces, eating with a spoon, moving around… We’re going to marvel at your development every day, and we’ll be so proud that you’re feeling so well, that you’re a happy, well-rounded baby!
You’ll also be traveling a lot, since your mom is in Canada and will be watching you grow up. You’ll be an angel, our angel, eager to discover and live life to the full. Gaylord and I want to pass on to you our values, our passions and those special moments that God gives us as a family.
When we think of your big eyes looking at us with all that love coming out of them, we melt into tears. We have only one thing to say to you: we already love you, and we’re certain that from the first day we see you, we’ll love you for the rest of our lives. We promise to be the best of dads, to be there for you, to support you in your choices, to advise you, to listen to you. Life won’t always be easy, but we’ll make sure you never lose the smile that hangs on your face, and those pretty eyes that we guess sparkle with happiness!
We love you already, and we’ll never forget to pay tribute to the mother who helped us discover each other…
