Parents Through Surrogacy: Twins!

I would like to start by saying that surrogacy is something that helped fulfill our love, and our dream to become a family. I have been married to a wonderful man for seven years, he understands me and supports me, but because I am unable to have babies it was very difficult for us. We were watching Modern Family and they were talking about surrogacy and I said to my husband, “I want to have a baby.” I saw his smile in that moment and understood he also shared the dream to become parents. The process at first seemed so overwhelming. It was confusing trying to find a surrogate, lawyer, clinic, egg donor etc! But we selected Canadian Fertility Consulting and they guided us. The helped us figure out how to choose a surrogate and egg donor that matched our expectations and how to trust them. We met a wonderful woman, first by email, and in the very first conversation knew she was our surrogate. She felt the same way and agreed to carry our future baby! It was amazing! After all the screening and medical processes, we transferred two embryos and they hatched wonderfully.  I was really crying when the ultrasound was saying we were going to have twins. I remember screaming with joy, my dream had doubled! I thank life, God, our doctor and my beautiful surrogate. She gave us the happiest day of our lives and gave me my new mom moment. The doctor put the babies in my arms and I saw them, so little, with the sweetest eyes. I say we are a complete family, and I feel it in my heart. Thank you so much for giving me these moments with my babies, thank you to my wonderful husband for sharing my dreams and my joy. Thank you to our amazing surrogate, who for me is more like a sister now. Thank you!
