Hi! We’re Denis & François, a loving couple located in Ottawa, Ontario. We are beyond excited to be building our family. Entering parenthood has been a dream of ours for many years. When thinking about what our paretnhood journey could look like, we took time to reflect with our closest family and friends on what method of family building made the most sense for us.
From one of those conversations, Denis’ sister made the offer to donate eggs. The idea of our child having such a connection with us was so heart warming, we immediately knew that surrogacy was the right method for us. Since the very start of this journey, we’ve been so lucky to have such amazing family and friends support us and be there for us to talk things through when we needed it most. We hope to be an incredible support and resource for our surrogate in turn as well. To us, that means listening to our surrogate for how we can communicate best, while being available for support when its needed most, recognizing the physical and emotional that a pregnancy can carry and practical support, like attending appointments and more where its helpful.
We are two people that love our families so much, and genuinely cannot wait for the moment where we can have our own little family with baby. While we’re excited for the big moments, our hearts are warmed at just the thought of an evening at the park by our home, playing with a water table in the backyard or mixing cookies together as a family.
We dream of day when we can hold baby in our arms, feeling an overwhelming sense of fiercely-held love and joy.
Letter To Future Surrogate
Dear Surrogate,
Becoming parents is a dream that both of us have held in our hearts for a very long time and the fact that someone like you exists, that is willing to offer such a life-changing gift, fills us with such profound hope and gratitude.
After the births of our niece and two nephews, we made the decision to pursue building our family. When Denis’ sister generously offered to be our egg donor, we knew immediately that surrogacy was the path for us. Since then, we have been waiting for the missing piece to our puzzle – someone like you.
As we look toward this journey, our absolute biggest priority is yours and baby’s health, comfort and well-being. When it comes to our relationship during the pregnancy, we want to ensure you feel completely supported. We would love to build a warm, genuine friendship with you, getting to know each other through texts, calls and shared moments, while respecting your boundaries. We want to be a strong and reliable support system for you and each other, cheering you on and being a listening ear whenever you need one.
Regardless of whether you feel we are the right match for you, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the warmth and joy that you are bringing into the world. You are offering a miracle that we could never achieve on our own, and the immense gratitude we have is truly hard to put into words.
