Meet Michael & Timothy

We are Timothy (35) and Michael (38), a couple from Belgium, hoping to match with a surrogate, who can fulfil our dream to have a child. We have been a couple for over 17 years and have a strong and stable relationship.
Our beautiful story begins at the University of Antwerp in 2008 where we met during a class. Flyers for a student party were being passed around and Timothy gave a flyer to Michael. That was our first eye to eye connection. Although we only had one class together, our paths crossed daily because we took the same
metro to go to school. After a few months of getting to know each other, we knew this was meant to be and since then we have been inseparable.
4 years later we both had finished University and the moment felt right to start our own businesses in the wonderful city of Antwerp. This journey was a big relationship test, because this meant working in the same business and being together for 24h a day, 7 days a week.. but we only grew stronger and make a wonderful team!
In 2020 our businesses were hit terribly with the lockdown restrictions due to Covid. We had to make some difficult decisions, at this moment we were afraid of losing everything. It was also during this period we first started talking about having a family. The years before had been so busy building our businesses, that maybe the lockdown made us realise that we actually really wanted to build a family of our own. Financially it wasn’t possible to start the process of surrogacy, so we decided to saved up money and do what was necessary.
Today we run a big restaurant, that has been in our family for almost 20 years and we are the next
generation running the family business. Last year we bought our dream house with a big garden, swimming pool, and plenty of rooms available for children.
We have been dreaming of having a family of our own, since a long time, but our feeling got even bigger when we started living in our own dream house. We can’t wait to see our little one(s) running in our yard, playing with our dogs, jumping in the swimming pool and building a tree house!
At this moment we are just in the beginning of our journey:
We work with CReATe Fertility Clinic and are waiting for the medical clearance of our egg donor.

Letter To Future Surrogate
Hello dear future surrogate,
Thinking of writing a letter to you, brings tears in our eyes. It is in this moment we realise what we are asking a person (we don’t know yet) to do for us, a couple from across the Atlantic Ocean with the biggest dream to have a child.
We are taking the time to write this letter with immense gratitude, hope and excitement. Just understanding what a warmhearted and loving person you must be, just by considering to become our surrogate, fills our hearts with so much joy.
We are Timothy and Michael, a couple from Belgium, hoping to match with you, so we can fulfil
our dream to have a child. We have been a couple for over 17 years and have a strong and stable
relationship. Since a year we live in our dream house together with our 2 dogs: Fons & Gaston.
Fons is a 4 year old Chihuahua and Gaston is our 9 year old Dachshund.
Together they make a perfect team as brothers, looking after each other, even when the neighbourhood cat thinks the garden is hers, they are not afraid of defending each other. After a full day of protecting the garden, they love to snuggle and take long naps:-).
We are surrounded by a very big loving family, and they will open their arms to welcome a new
baby in the family. Especially Timothy’s mother Sandra is excited to become a grandmother for the first time. She has been talking about this for years and we can’t wait to tell her the news once this dream
becomes reality. Although we have a busy life, we are ready to create a new chapter in our story. This chapter is all about raising our own family and loving and caring for each other.
We understand that surrogacy is a process that comes with ups and downs. Open communication, trust and care are the key elements to make sure we can be a good match. You can count on all our support you’ll need, every step of the way. We are only one phone call or text away. We are open for all sorts of relationships with you, we will follow your lead and will respect your comfort and boundaries.
