Meet Matt & Marcel

Hello!
We are Marcel and Matthew, an international couple living in Switzerland, excited to grow our family through surrogacy. We have always dreamed of becoming parents, and we are elated to have the chance at this dream with the help of a surrogate like you.
We can’t wait to create lasting memories, start new traditions, and experience the natural beauty of Switzerland together with our future child. Our families and friends, too, can’t wait to have a little bundle of joy to love and care for. As a couple, we enjoy playing in the local concert band, hiking in the alps, running, and travelling. No matter what we’re doing, we always find joy in the little moments, and we can’t wait to share that with our future child.
So far on our journey to parenthood, we have matched with an egg donor and successfully created 8 healthy embryos. Since matching with our egg donor, we have really enjoyed getting to know her, sharing life experiences and stories along the way. Now, we can’t wait to reach the next milestone, with someone like you as our surrogate.

Letter To Future Surrogate
Dear Surrogate,
Words cannot fully express our gratitude for the kindness and generosity you are showing by considering this journey with us.
Thank you for your time and for being the kind of person who would explore something so generous as surrogacy. We have dreamed of becoming parents for a long time, and knowing that someone like you is willing to go on this journey with us means the world. As our surrogate, we want you to feel supported, respected, and valued every step of the way. We hope to build a warm, open relationship where we can share updates, celebrate milestones, and walk this path together as a team.
We’re Matthew and Marcel, and we’ve been together for nine years. We met in Durham, North Carolina, while Marcel was studying abroad from his home country of Switzerland. After many dates and new experiences together, we decided we could not live without one another. Following three years of living and teaching in Germany for Matthew, and three years of developing his career as a lawyer in Switzerland for Marcel, we were finally able to live together under one roof. Fast forward to the summer of 2025, when we tied the knot in front of our closest family, friends, and colleagues. Now, we are ready to take the plunge into fatherhood! We are so excited to make our dreams of becoming fathers a reality, with the help of an amazing surrogate like you.
We live in Suhr, Switzerland, around thirty minutes outside of Zurich, which has a small-town feel but has much to offer. We enjoy playing in the local concert band together, hiking in the alps, running, and travelling. Matthew enjoys oil painting and baking while Marcel enjoys socializing and helping out in the community.
Our home is situated on a bike street along a creek, not only allowing us to easily get around, but also for children to be able to bike and play safely in the area. In a short walk, there are schools, grocery stores, and access to the nearby forest. We look forward to showing our future children the beautiful sights of Switzerland and beyond.
As for what this journey would look like with us: we will be present and involved, while always following your lead on what feels comfortable. During the pregnancy, we would like to, also in respect of your wishes and needs, have regular contact to know how you are doing and how the pregnancy is progressing. We would love to have updates on the process and your doctor’s appointments, and talk about it, your experience, and feelings with you. If possible, and wished by you, we would love to visit you and your familiy (if applicable) during the pregnancy.
After the pregnancy, we would want to maintain regular/routine contact with you to share updates and important milestones in the child’s life and to celebrate this wonderful relationship we will hopefully have formed with you. We would love to invite you, your partner and children (if applicable) to Switzerland to celebrate the child’s first birthday with us, at our expense, which would give us a special opportunity to look back on the path we took together.
We know this letter is just a first step. We would genuinely love the opportunity to get to know you better and see whether we might be the right match for one another. Thank you so much for reading about our story and taking us into consideration.
