Dear Rainbow,

It is not easy to write a letter to someone we don’t know yet, especially when trying to speak to all the possible candidates. But we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our words. Thank you most of all for starting this extraordinary journey, for giving people or couples the chance to reach a dream that would otherwise stay out of reach. Just the fact that you are considering this already touches us deeply and fills us with gratitude.

Since we met more than two years ago, we have always wanted to become parents and build our family. Together, this dream felt completely natural. Corentin has always dreamed of raising children and sharing everyday moments with them, while Alex had almost given up on the idea of ever becoming a father.

The path has not been simple: how, as a gay couple in France, could we become parents? Surrogacy is not allowed, and even though adoption is legal, it remains full of obstacles and discrimination. It is very rare for a baby to be placed with a same-sex couple. By learning, talking, and sharing our dreams, we finally decided to begin this surrogacy journey, which allows us to imagine a real future as a family, filled with love.

What you are about to do is incredible, unique, and almost impossible to describe. We admire you sincerely and are endlessly grateful for your commitment. From the bottom of our hearts, we hope to be the parents you choose to walk with, because we want to pass on to our child the values that matter to us: kindness, respect, generosity, family, hard work, and love. We dream that our child will know the story of the woman who gave them life, that they will know how you made this dream possible for us, and that they will always feel the gratitude and love we have for you.

We are both deeply committed to everything we do and love creating with our own hands. Right now, we are working on a big project: renovating an old barn in Normandy with our own hands, so we can welcome our families, our children, and our animals there. We love building, gardening, growing food, taking care of plants and animals, and making little projects to spread happiness. Corentin already imagines making furniture or clothes for our future child, even if we don’t know how to sew yet! All these moments bring us closer, teach us patience and joy, and prepare us to welcome our child into a home full of love and warmth.

We also love traveling and discovering new places, and we dream of discovering Canada one day, especially through you. We can’t wait to share this unique adventure with you and to build a relationship of trust and kindness around this very special project.

These few words are not enough to fully show you who we are, but we would love to talk with you more, to get to know you, and to share our dreams and hopes. We are really looking forward to meeting you, thanking you in person, and, most of all, building together this beautiful journey that will change our lives forever.
