Hi! We’re Ashley and Tristan, and we are incredibly excited about the possibility of growing our family through surrogacy. Becoming parents has always been a dream for both of us. While our journey to parenthood hasn’t been the one we originally imagined, our hope and excitement for building a family together has only grown stronger.

We have been together for nine years and have built a life centered around love, laughter, and supporting one another. Our home is truly the centre of our lives. We love spending time together enjoying simple moments—going for nature walks, visiting the ocean, taking our dog swimming in nearby rivers, and enjoying sunny summer days by a lake. In the evenings, we love being cozy at home reading books, playing board games, doing puzzles, and cooking meals together. In the summer, you will often find us outside with friends enjoying the sunshine and hosting BBQs.

From the very beginning of our relationship, we imagined sharing our lives with a child—teaching them, supporting them, and watching them grow into their own person. It has always been a dream for us to expand our family and to share our love.

The opportunity to work with a surrogate means more to us than we can truly put into words. We have so much love to give and so many experiences we hope to share with a child—whether it’s exploring the outdoors, family game nights, summers by the lake, or simply spending time together at home.

We feel incredibly grateful for the possibility of this journey and for the generosity of someone willing to help make our dream of becoming parents a reality.

—LETTER TO SURRO—

Dear Surrogate Mum,

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and consider this incredible journey. The generosity and compassion it takes to help someone else become a parent is truly remarkable, and it is something we will never take for granted.

Our journey to parenthood has led us to surrogacy because Ashley cannot carry a pregnancy. She went through the IVF process and generously donated her eggs, which was a meaningful and emotional milestone for us. It was also uncertain whether the egg retrieval would even be possible without a uterus as a guiding anchor, so reaching that step filled us with gratitude and hope for what might be possible next.

Choosing to pursue surrogacy has made us deeply aware of the kindness and strength of the person who may help us grow our family. If you choose to walk this path with us, please know that we see this as a relationship built on respect, honesty, and appreciation.

Supporting our surrogate means making sure she feels cared for, respected, and comfortable throughout the entire journey. We want to be there however we can—whether that means checking in regularly, celebrating milestones together, or simply making sure you feel supported in whatever way you need.

When I imagine holding our baby for the first time, I know it will be a moment of amazement and overwhelming gratitude. After everything that has brought us to this point, it will be a moment I will never forget. I imagine it will be a race between the three of us to see who cries first.
