Meet Benjamin & Meddy

Dear Future Surrogate,

We’re so happy to be writing these first words to you.

But first, a little introduction is in order!

We are Benjamin & Meddy, two French men. Where to begin?

We’ve been together for over ten years, and we got married last year, on June 29, 2024. We’re both accountants, one of the many things we have in common! We live in Normandy, not far from the city of Caen. Our town actually has a special connection to Canada, as it was liberated by Canadian soldiers during World War II. You’ll see Canadian flags all around!

Oh, someone else wants to say hi: Charles says “Coucou!”

Who’s Charles? He’s our son!

He turned two on February 23, 2025. We’re very proud and grateful to be dads. Charles was born thanks to a previous surrogacy journey in Canada. He was born in Saskatoon.

It was truly an adventure, especially because we got to experience Canada in February, something we’re definitely not used to in France! The winter was cold… very cold… very, very, very cold!

But it was also a lot of fun. We went on long snowy walks, enjoying the peaceful winter landscapes while waiting for the arrival of our much-anticipated little boy. It’s a memory we’ll always cherish a mix of excitement, cold noses, and warm hearts.

We’re now hoping to grow our family and give Charles a little brother or sister to share moments of joy, laughter, and even a few sibling squabbles. Charles is already surrounded by so much love. In addition to his two dads, he has grandparents, uncles, an aunt, and many wonderful friends. We’re a small, close-knit group, and most of our friends have children around the same age.

Having already gone through the surrogacy journey, we’re familiar with the process and everything it brings. Our first experience was incredibly special. Our first surrogate was a truly wonderful woman warm, kind, and thoughtful. She chose to “retire” after helping carry two babies, and we’re still in touch with her. We share updates about Charles, her children, and our lives. She’s an important part of our story.

We already have two healthy, tested embryos from our previous journey and they’re waiting patiently for the right person to help bring them into the world.

We know that every journey is unique, and so are the amazing women who make it possible. You’ll be different from our first surrogate and that’s the beauty of it. This will be our journey together, and we can’t wait to meet you and walk this path hand in hand.
