Hi! We’re Bochao and Xin, excited to grow our family through surrogacy.

We’ve been together for 11 years and married for 6. Over time, we’ve built a relationship grounded in love, support, and mutual understanding. Along the way, we also raised our “first child,” Little B, the calmest and most spoiled chihuahua, who has been part of our lives for 10 years.

We love travelling and have explored more than 20 countries together, creating many unforgettable memories. At the same time, we also enjoy the simple moments in daily life, like ordering takeout, lying on the couch, and watching movies. No matter what we’re doing, we always find comfort and happiness in being together.

We both grew up in loving families, which shaped how we see the world. We believe life is not only about being loved, but also about giving love. That’s why we hope to become parents, to share that love and build a warm, supportive home for a child. As two dads, we hope to raise a child in an environment full of kindness, respect, and openness, encouraging them to be themselves and grow with confidence.

—-LETTER TO SURRO—-

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read our letter and get to know us. We want you to know how deeply we respect and appreciate what you are considering. What you are doing is truly extraordinary, and it brings hope to families like ours. We are Bochao and Xin, a couple who have been together for 11 years and now live in Vancouver, BC. We first connected through a dating app and met in person on Halloween in 2014. Over the years, we have grown together, supported each other through life’s ups and downs, and built a strong, loving, and stable relationship. On August 15, 2019, we got married, and since then, we have continued to build a life filled with care, patience, and mutual understanding. Both of us were raised in loving families, and that has shaped who we are today. We have always believed that the meaning of life is not only to be loved, but also to give love. Over time, we realized that one of our deepest hopes is to become parents, to share the love we have received and to build a family of our own. Recently, we experienced something that made this feeling even stronger. Bochao’s father was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer, and it was a very difficult time for our family. Bochao immediately travelled back to China to be with his parents, and during that time, his mother said something that stayed deeply with us. She said, “Thankfully, I have my son by my side, helping me look for treatment options and giving me strength. I don’t know how I would have handled this without you.” That moment made us realize even more clearly how meaningful the bond between parents and children truly is. Being there for each other, especially in life’s most challenging moments, is something we deeply value. It also strengthened our belief that we want to become parents, not only to give love, but also to build a lifelong bond of care and support. As a same-sex couple, we know that this journey is only possible because of someone like you. Choosing surrogacy was not just a decision, but a realization that there are incredibly kind and brave people in this world who are willing to help others create a family. This is something we will never take for granted. If we are fortunate enough to walk this journey with you, we want you to know that we will approach it with respect, honesty, and care. We hope to maintain open and supportive communication during the pregnancy, but we will follow your lead and what feels right for you. We will always respect your comfort level and boundaries. Looking ahead, we imagine a life where our child grows up surrounded by love, kindness, and understanding. We hope to raise them in a way that respects who they are as individuals, encourages them to explore the world, and teaches them to be compassionate and open-minded. In the future, we will also be open with our child about their story. At the right time, we will tell them that they came into this world because of the kindness and generosity of someone truly special. Thank you for your courage, your kindness, and your willingness to even consider helping families like ours. It would be an honour to go through this journey with you.
