We believe what makes us great parents is our capacity to love deeply, being always present, and create a home where kindness, curiosity, laugh and trust come first. Our lives have taught us adaptability, responsibility, and compassion early on. We communicate openly, value presence over perfection, and believe children thrive when they feel themselves and supported.

After 15 years as partners, building a life across countries and cultures, we feel ready to become parents. Surrogacy became part of our story after settling in Canada. In France, it is still not well understood, but discovering the Canadian surrogacy model was a revelation for us. We deeply respect the altruistic, ethical, and human-centred approach, and we are moved by the generosity of women who choose to help build families this way. It feels aligned with our values and with the family we hope to create.

Even though the journey has already been long, we are incredibly proud to have nine tested embryos at CReAte Fertility in Toronto, evenly split between the two of us. None of this would have been possible without the generosity of an amazing egg donor we connected with through Egg Helpers last year. We feel deeply grateful for her role in helping us take this meaningful step toward building our family.

Our ideal surrogate is someone with whom we feel a genuine connection. Shared values, common interests, and mutual trust matter far more to us than anything else. We hope to build a respectful, open relationship and to walk this journey together with kindness, laugh and honesty. Supporting our surrogate means being present, attentive, and adaptable to her needs. We want her to always feel respected, heard, and appreciated, never alone in this process. To us, this is a partnership built on authenticity, gratitude and care.

What excites us most about parenthood is discovering who our child will become: their personality, their passions, their little traits. We look forward to the everyday moments, shared long meals, laughter with Benoit, curiosity-filled questions that Eric will love to debate, and watching them grow into themselves.

Benoit is especially close to children and is the godfather to four kids. Children naturally gravitate toward him for his warmth, over the top personality, humour, and ability to be both caring and playful. In our circle, he is often seen as a role model but deeply human, someone who knows how to be kind, genuine, and joyful all at once. Benoit is authentic and true to his values. His consistency and integrity are qualities we hope to pass on to our child.

Eric brings a grounded and reassuring presence. He loves teaching, explaining how things work, and encouraging curiosity through conversation. With his scientific mind and hands-on nature, he is always fixing, building, gardening, and turning everyday moments into learning opportunities.

Our support system is strong and loving. Our families in France are incredibly excited and already dreaming of meeting our child. Here in Canada, we have built a chosen family. Two close friends, Sean and Matt, became family almost instantly when we met them. We share many similarities, travel together often, and support each other through life’s big moments. Our neighbours, Tina and James, are another pillar of our support system, always present, caring, and devoted. They share our love for long French dinners and are devoted cat people.

We look forward to sharing traditions rooted in both French culture and the life we’ve built in Canada, long meals, meaningful conversations, nature travel adventures, and new rituals we will create as a family. When we imagine holding our baby for the first time, we feel a sense of grounding, gratitude, and overwhelming love. A quiet certainty that everything we’ve lived has led us to that moment.
