My husband and I have had 2 beautiful children 7 and 2. We used IVF as he has fertility issues. I am Paralyzed and have been representing Canada as a Para equestrian athlete since 2001 competing in 5 Paralympic Games. My husband is Swedish and we live in the Usa Florida for training reason. Our Canadian home location is BC on beautiful Vancouver Island. Both my Husband and I are horse trainers- yes I do it from a wheel chair. We have a lovely 20 acre farm that our children run and play on all day. I had no problem with my delivery and would love to have more children- however my son was hard on my kidneys and created damage. They do not recommend I carry any more for that reason. We still have two embryos in storage (two girls) I think about them every day and feel pain in my heart wondering if they will ever get to be apart of our family. We feel incomplete. My husband and I know that we are blessed to have the 2 we have, we want to finish what we started and bring those two girls home. My daughter asks regularly if she can have a little sister. When we went for our second child of IVF it was still during Covid and she could not come into the hospital. When I cam our she looked at me and said “where’s my baby brother? ” Boy was she disappointed to find out she had to wait 9 months. We do not know how long we will live in the USA- as we like the family life in Canada and hope to live back there.

It’s hard to imagine being you. Offering your self, your physical, emotional and mental self to give happiness to a couple in this way is the epitome of a truly selfless act. Just having you read our story and consider us is one step closer to our family being completed. We really are easy going people- we are comfortable with most things as long is our child is in a healthy environment. We hope for our surrogate to also be light hearted and open to laughter. We are happy to be involved as much as you feel comfortable with or less if needed. I think the important thing is to have open communication and discuss what you need and how we can help make that happen to achieve a healthy happy baby. We would love for the process to happen in Canada. We are blessed to have our two and would love if you could help us get our last two girls out of storage so we can grow together as a family.
