About Our Family
We’re Oana and Jesse, a loving couple excited to grow our blended family through surrogacy. Jesse is a devoted father to three wonderful children from his first marriage. His natural warmth and support as a parent have been beautiful to witness. He has been a tremendous support in helping everyone adjust to a blended family. When we came together as a family, she embraced the role of “plus-mom” guiding and nurturing children.
One of Oana’s proudest accomplishments has been teaching the kids English, as they only spoke Dutch when we first met. She also provides the kids intensive math tutoring. Watching their confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding. These experiences have given Oana a glimpse into the joys and challenges of parenthood. While being a plus-mom has brought her tremendous fulfillment, we’re ready to have a child together and raising it from day one.
We live in a stable, loving home environment where communication, respect, and learning are valued. Both of us are working professionals with secure employment. This provides financial stability and flexibility. We prioritize work-life balance and have established routines that allow us to be present for our family while maintaining our careers. Our home is filled with laughter, learning, and the beautiful chaos that comes with raising children. We’re excited to add one more heartbeat to our family.
Our Dreams For Our Child
This journey has been an emotional rollercoaster. There’s something uniquely different about welcoming children who are already developed versus nurturing a child from day one. While our blended family has taught us so much about love and patience, we’re excited about the prospect of guiding our own child from the very beginning, passing on our values and knowledge, and creating those precious early memories together.
We look forward to sharing traditions like painting Easter eggs, picking apples in the fall, volunteering, bike rides, travelling and exploring new languages. Beyond ensuring our child receives a solid education and stays active in sports, we’re passionate about instilling healthy eating habits. We love to cook and maintain a focus on nutritious, diverse, home-cooked meals.
We believe deeply in honesty and openness with our child about their unique conception story. From an early age, we will lovingly explain how she/he came to be through the generosity of an egg donor and surrogate. We want our child to understand that they are surrounded by people who wanted them to exist – not just us as parents, but also the special women who helped make possible. We envision that both our egg donor Nataliia and our surrogate will hold special places in our child’s life, and we hope they’ll be able to share meaningful moments together as our child grows. We believe this openness will help our child feel proud of his/her story and grateful for the love that made all this possible.
Our Support System
We’re fortunate to have a strong support system here in Belgium, including close friends with young families. Some of them come from blended families and generously share their experiences and advice with us. This is complemented by our extended families in the Netherlands, Romania, and Canada, with whom we regularly spend quality time.
We believe in having multiple layers of support – not just for ourselves, but to ensure our surrogate has access to understanding people if needed. Our network includes both emotional support and practical help, from childcare assistance to meal preparation during busy times.
We have established relationships with counselors experienced in surrogacy, our legal team, and our medical teams in Canada. We believe having comprehensive support that creates the best foundation for a successful surrogacy journey for everyone involved.
Our Journey So Far
We’ve made significant progress in our journey. Due to medical reasons, Oana is not able to carry a pregnancy, so we rely on external support to pursue our dream of having our own child together. We’ve been very fortunate to find a fantastic egg donor, Nataliia, and we now have 21 frozen embryos ready for the next step in our journey. We’ve been incredibly supported by our support network as well as the caring staff at Egg Helpers and CFC, and we’re filled with hope as we move toward the next stage of our path to parenthood.
We’ve also taken time to educate ourselves about the surrogacy process – understanding the medical procedures, legal requirements, and emotional aspects for all parties involved. We’ve consulted with legal professionals to ensure everything is properly structured and that everyone’s rights and interests are protected. We’re committed to transparency and want our surrogate to feel completely informed and comfortable every step of the way. We’re filled with hope as we move toward the next stage of our path to parenthood.

Dear Surrogate Mum,
My name is Oana, and I’m writing to share my story with you in hopes of finding someone special to help my partner Jesse and me complete our family.
My Journey to Love Nearly thirteen years ago, I moved from Canada to Brussels for work after a difficult divorce. It was there where I met Jesse, a wonderful Dutch father of three, at a local coffee shop. What began as a chance encounter grew into a beautiful partnership that showed me what true love and support could look like. Jesse helped me believe in meaningful relationships again, and together we’ve created a warm, blended family where I’ve embraced the role of “plus-mom” to his three amazing children.
My Dream of Motherhood I’ve wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember. For the past five years, Jesse and I have shared the dream of having a child together – our own little one to love and raise from day one. I envision teaching our child to be kind and honest, encouraging their education, sharing my love of different cultures and languages, and nurturing their creativity. I picture family traditions like painting Easter eggs, autumn apple picking, and bike rides together. This child would complete our home that’s already filled with laughter, learning, and love.
My Path to You Following 10 failed IVFs and one miscarriage, I had to have a hysterectomy due to severe endometriosis. I now find myself unable to carry a pregnancy. While this wasn’t the path I originally imagined for my journey to motherhood, it has led me to you. We’ve been fortunate to work with Nataliia as our egg donor and now have 23 healthy embryos waiting for the next step. The amazing teams at Egg Helpers and CFC have supported us every step of the way, giving me hope when I thought my dream might be impossible.
What I Hope For in Our Partnership I’m looking for more than just someone to carry our child – I’m hoping to build a meaningful relationship based on mutual respect and trust. I want to be involved and supportive without being overwhelming, following your lead on comfort levels and boundaries. I believe deeply in open communication, transparency about expectations, and ensuring you feel valued and cared for throughout this journey.
I also want you to know that our child will grow up knowing their special story – how they came to be through the generosity and love of both an egg donor and a surrogate. I hope you’ll be part of their life in whatever way feels right for you, creating lasting memories together as they grow.
Why I’m Ready Being a plus-mom to Jesse’s children has given me a glimpse into the joys and challenges of motherhood, and it’s only strengthened my desire to experience raising a child from the very beginning. We have a strong support system here in Belgium and across Europe, stable careers that provide flexibility for family time, and most importantly, hearts full of love ready to welcome our child.
