Meet Anthony & Guillaume

Hi there,

We are so excited to be on this portal, supported by the Canadian Fertility Center and having this opportunity to introduce ourselves.

First, a few words on Guillaume:
Guillaume was born in January 1990 in a small town in the center of France where almost nobody lives. Then, he spent his early life moving from one place to another because his father was a French gendarme (a mix between a policeman and a military officer) and all these family experiences brought a will for him to discover the world and all the various cultures around it. He spent most of his childhood weekends in the house his parents bought in the countryside. From that period, he kept a passion for nature and this is why he likes to spend time hiking, running, climbing and gardening outside. He likes sports in general and has run two marathons.
From his passion for nature, he followed university courses to learn about Earth Sciences. He settled in Paris in 2013 to work as an engineer in a company specializing in subsurface modeling and this is what he’s still doing now.

Then, a few words on Anthony:
Anthony was born in June 1989 in Nice, a town of the French Riviera where a lot of people live. He grew up there, in the city, but he spent all his holidays with his sister and his cousins in Cohade, a small village in the countryside in the center of France, where his maternal grandparents had a family home. He cherishes these memories, the best of his childhood.
Family and friends are the most important part of his life, and more generally he likes people and takes care of them. That’s why in 2010 he arrived in Paris to study and became a physiotherapist then a health manager at the hospital. He is interested by many things and feels the need to reinvent himself from time to time. Now he works in HR, where he thinks he can make a difference and support people. Yeah, he’s an optimistic person who sees the best in everyone and enriches himself with the people he meets.
Also, he likes swimming, hiking, reading, traveling and has a passion for cinema and series.

Finally, a few words on us :
We met in December 2018. That evening, we went to take a drink in a Parisian place we like both: Cour Saint-Émilion. Since that day, we almost always stayed together just letting each other for some specific events or weekends.
After almost 1 year of relationship, Covid emerged and forced us to be confined at home for some month. This was a big test we had to face as many other couples but everything went so fine… We were born to meet each other and none of us had any doubt when confinement started.
In 2022, Guillaume proposed on Brighton peer (South England, we’ve always loved travelling to the UK and especially London) and from that moment we spent one year and a half preparing this beautiful event. We wanted it to be a wonderful moment shared with our families and friends and it was even better than all we had imagined before.
We have lived a lot of lovely adventures during these 7 years together and we are now so ready (this is also what friends and families say around us) to live the next one: becoming parents.

We don’t know each other yet but you’re already part of our lifes. It seems we are mentioning you each time we are talking about this journey with our relatives. We are so looking forward to being able to say your name and speak about you.
There are not enough words to express our gratitude to you and the biggest gift you’ll offer us: being parents. This level of altruism is incredible and we’ll always admire and remember this.
We cannot imagine our future life without children as it is deeply written in our soul, in our body. We are so thankful to our parents who brought everything for us to grow and become happy in our lives. We can’t wait to do the same with our children, supporting them to become happy kids and accomplished adults.
We are already imagining all the activities we’ll do with them, feeling how the amazing day life will be and this dream is possible thanks to you.
