There are no words big enough, no language deep enough to express what you mean to us. You are the person we’ve been waiting for, hoping for, and dreaming of. Our journey to parenthood began with the most incredible gift, our first child, and now, with love in our hearts, we’re longing to give them the gift of a sibling.
You’re not just helping us grow our family. You’re giving our child a best friend, a playmate, a teammate in life. You’re helping us give them someone to share childhood memories with, someone to grow up beside, to laugh with, and to lean on.
From the beginning, our dream of becoming parents has always included having two children . Having grown up with siblings ourselves, we know how special those bonds are.
For the past 1.5 year, our son has been telling us that he would like a little brother or sister (for Christmas, his birthday, father day…). He sees our friend’s babies and is very gentle and attentive with them. He’ll be a big brother who’s both protective of and a best friends to his sibling.
In the evening, our son likes us to read him three stories never fewer before going to sleep. We can already imagine him hugging his little sister or brother close and telling her/him his own stories. Sometimes he tells us that he wants to keep a game or a toy so that he can play with his sibling when he has one.
You are carrying not only our baby, but our hopes, our dreams, and the vision we’ve had for a bigger, love-filled family. We are in awe of the strength and generosity it takes to do what you’re doing. From the moment you enter our lives, you will never truly leave it. You’ll always have a place in our hearts, in our story, and in the family we’re building.
And speaking of family, ours is big, warm, and full of laughter (and lots of French hugs and food!). Our home is filled with love, and you’ll always have a special place among us, no matter where life takes you.
Since he was a baby, we have told our son that a fairy helped us become his parents. We told him about the journey and he knows his surrogate. We’ll do the same with his sibling.
We promise to walk this path with you, to support you, to cherish you, and to always honor the incredible role you’re playing in our journey. We can’t wait to meet you.
