Hi there!
We’re Allan and Nate from Atlanta, Georgia — and before anything else, we just want to say a big thank you. We know surrogacy is a big commitment and takes someone with a huge heart, and we already appreciate you for considering helping families like ours.
We met through mutual friends here in Atlanta about 8 years ago (time flies!) while Allan was furthering his education at Emory University. A big snowstorm hit Atlanta the weekend we met, and we got snowed in together (along with Nathan’s chow chow, Kenzo). We joke that it was the dog that sealed the deal. We’ve been together ever since, and we got married on a beautiful, crisp fall day in November 2023.
Allan grew up in Jamaica and Miami, and Nathan grew up in Missouri, and while we are from seemingly very different worlds — we’ve found we have many things in common, including carefree, barefoot childhoods playing outdoors, loving parents that stressed the importance of education and also chasing our dreams, and strong cultural identities.
We live in Atlanta — the city whose motto is “too busy to hate” — a place that, like Canada, values diversity, acceptance, and community. We’re proud to call this progressive city home, and we look forward to raising our child here. Our home is filled with love, respect, and the belief that every child deserves to grow up as exactly who they are and be whoever they want to be. No outdated stereotypes or political ideology can keep our child from growing up free, happy, and proud of who they are.
Our journey to parenthood has been a little bumpy at times, but it has made us stronger, closer, and even more certain that we want a family and are ready to give a child all the love and support they could ever need. We both come from very close-knit families, and the love and support we’ve received from them (as well as our close friends) through this journey has kept us uplifted and motivated. They are our biggest cheerleaders, and they are just as excited for us to have a family as we are. This child will be so loved by our village!
We’re proud that our future child will be born in Canada and raised with roots in both Canada and the US. We’ve been fortunate to spend time in places like the Caribbean and Europe, and those experiences have shaped our perspective on the world, fostering curiosity, openness, and a deep respect for diverse cultures and ways of life. When we started our fatherhood journey, we knew immediately that surrogacy in Canada was the path we wanted to take. We’re eager to come back and meet our amazing surrogate during pregnancy.
We truly believe this process isn’t just about growing our family but about building a meaningful relationship with someone amazing (that’s you!). We’d love the chance to get to know you, share our story, and hopefully take these next steps together.

Some Fun Facts About Us:
We’re both big into movies – Allan loves fantasy — especially Harry Potter. Nate loves indie films and award-winning films, but he also loves going to the movies to see a good horror film!
We love to travel — not for Instagram posts, but to experience new places, food, and cultures. On our bucket list is island hopping in the Caribbean. We definitely want our child to appreciate and experience other places and cultures.
We love animals, especially dogs (we have 2!), and we have fostered many throughout the years. Sometimes our house is a zoo, but it’s completely worth it.
Dry humor, awkward comedies and British sarcasm get us through life. If you know Keeping Up Appearances, Absolutely Fabulous, VEEP, or Blacks Books you get us 🙂
One of our long-term dreams is to buy land and design a self-sustaining home — modern, practical, and built with the environment in mind. Sustainability is a passion of ours, and we want to raise our child to take care of mother Earth.
Allan is a huge anime fan and gamer — they’ve been his go-to way to unwind for years.
Nate is very creative and moonlights as a screenwriter! He has picked up a few awards along the way and is hopeful that a few of his shorts will be produced in the coming months.
Allan loves to cook, especially dishes that connect him to his Caribbean heritage. Our kitchen gets a lot of use – and we love having our family and friends over to enjoy Allan’s cooking!
