Meet Galen and Harriet

We’re Harriet and Galen – both 34 years old and just days away from celebrating our first wedding anniversary! Our story began when we met each other at just three years old in school. After years of crossing paths, our flame was ignited when Galen slid into Harriet’s DMs with three fire emojis! We began dating just before the pandemic and have been inseparable ever since.
Coming from families of multiples – Harriet is a twin and Galen is a triplet – we’ve always dreamed of building a family of our own. April 17, 2024, is a date forever etched in our hearts. Life was full of promise-Galen and I were planning our June wedding, and Harriet just received the incredible news that she’d made Partner. We were filled with joy and excitement, dreaming about our future and the family we hoped to build together.
Being proactive, Harriet went for a fertility check in February 2024. Nothing could have prepared us for what came next. At just 33 years old, she was told she would likely never be able to have children. Her AMH levels were numbers more typical of someone in their mid-50s. The words “IVF isn’t an option” and “your egg quality isn’t good” hit like a tidal wave.We were told we had maybe two months to try naturally, and even then, it would be like
“pulling a bunny out of a hat.”
The devastation was indescribable. In an instant, our world shifted. The joy of wedding planning was replaced with a singular focus: doing everything in our power to start our family. Despite the bleak prognosis we’ve poured our hearts into exploring every path to parenthood – over the past year we did six rounds of IVF and three failed attempts at transfers. This journey has tested us, strengthened us, and brought us even closer together.
