Dear potential Surrogate, thank you very much for visiting our profile. Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Loukas and Athan and our story together, started 13 years ago in Greece. This is the country we grew up, studied and fell in love in. From the first time we looked at each other we fell in love and knew we wanted to have a future and a family together. We both grew up in big families with a lot of siblings. The memories we have from back then still bring big smiles to our faces. In order to achieve our goals and by having always each other, we decided very early in our relationship (within 6 months) to move together abroad to The Netherlands. A very beautiful country which captivated us and which we can proudly now call home. It was not an easy start but we started slowly with small and carefully planned steps. In the years that passed since then we managed to create a home for ourselves in Rotterdam, make amazing friends and connect with lovely people all around us. The support and love we received, and still do, from the people we have around us makes us feel stronger and sure we made the right choice for our future. It has already been a few years since we felt ready to start with the next step in our journey to build a family: having children. Even though we feel no different than the rest being a same sex couple does have an effect on the way we can create our family. We have so much love for each other and it kind of hurts and saddens us that we cannot easily express that love as other couples do by having a child. We are so very happy for our friends and family when we see their children being born and is difficult not to be able to share that feeling with our own child. After long talks, research, consideration and exchange of opinions with our loved ones and ourselves we came to the conclusion that surrogacy is the best option for us in order to make our dream come true. In our point of view having children through surrogacy brings people together in a unique way. The bond created throughout that journey between the parents and the surrogate, the love the babies receive from the very beginning up to the moment they are born and beyond, and the memories shared between “strangers” that become friends and dare say “family” is something unimaginably beautiful in our eyes. The fact that we will be able to hold our new born baby in our arms and share that feeling truly and completely with our Surrogate Mum is for us something words cannot describe. We truly hope that you can share on our hopes and dreams and that you will allow us to bring you into our lives and help us become whole by giving us the greatest gift of all.
