Hello,

We are pleased to contact you, and we hope that this letter finds you and your family well.

At first, we would like to congratulate you and your family for your act of altruism in helping those who can’t fulfil their dream of starting a family.

We are Alexandre and Ricardo, and we live in Lisbon, Portugal. We’ve been together for 13 years and have always had the dream of growing our family. We have reached a point in our lives where we fortunately have all the conditions to do so.

Now we’re going to tell you a little about ourselves so that you can find out more about us.

I, Ricardo, am 40 years old´s medical doctor. I like going for walks by the river or the sea, watching series and movies, going to the cinema and spending time with my friends and family.

And I, Alexandre with 39 years old, am a veterinary surgeon. In addition to my love of animals, I dedicate my life for them. Outside of work I have another passion, abstract painting, spending time with friends, relaxing on the sofa watching series/movies and walks by the beach with my dogs.

As a couple we enjoy travelling, dining out, spending time with our friends and family and making plans for the future when we can fulfil our dream of becoming dads.

Our family also has three other very important members, as you can see in the photos, Dora, Roxy and Muffin, our little loves who give/given us and receive/received a lot of love. Unfortunately, now we only have Muffin, with 9 years old. We lost Roxy a month ago to cancer after almost 14 years of friendship. Dora and Roxy are now our guardian angels and always with us being part of us.

We try to live our lives with a lot of affection, love, respect and friendship. These are the feelings we want to pass on to our child.

Our nuclear family is made up of our parents (unfortunately Ricardo’s father passed away in 2021), our siblings, nephews, uncles and cousins. Our friends are family, they are part of our day-to-day life, our holidays and they are a regular presence in our home and in our lives. Some of them already have children, whom we consider nephews/nieces, and they also receive all our love, and one of them is Alexandre’s goddaughter.

So, as not to make this letter too long, we will end by thanking you for taking your time to read our letter and to look at our photos. We also want to thank you again for such a noble and beautiful act and for helping us on this journey.

We can’t wait to make this dream come true and hold our baby in our arms.
