Meet Siri & Kjetil

Hi! We are Siri and Kjetil, a Norwegian couple in our 30’s and our biggest wish is to become parents. We met at a local restaurant in 2015 and quickly formed a relationship that has grown stronger ever since. We moved in together in 2016 and have spent most days together ever since. We got married in 2019 when we were lucky enough to gather all of our friends and family for a big celebration of our love. In 2023 we moved into our forever home where we want to spend the rest of our lives together, and hopefully we can do that as parents to a child or siblings. We have endless love to give, and know that our greatest wish is to have someone to take care for and watch grow into adulthood. We are SO ready!
We live in a town called Bergen on the west-coast of Norway. We have two cats; Whisky and Valentina. We have a strong desire to expand our family and have the support from family and friends to continue this big journey. We value family highly, and consider ourselves as social and caring people, and have a lot of love and care to give.
Siri has a bachelor’s degree in child welfare and a master’s degree in law, and work with immigration. Kjetil has a master’s degree in engineering and works as a safety advisor. We both have stable office/9-5 jobs close by, with flexible working arrangements. In Norway, we are so lucky to have at least one-year parental leave where we can stay at home with the baby to form a lifelong bond between the child and the parents.
Siri was born without an uterus, so we can’t get pregnant ourselves, but luckily it’s possible to have biological children through surrogacy. Unfortunately, surrogacy can’t be done in Norway, so we have to go abroad to find someone who can help us fulfil our dream of becoming parents. Thankfully we had a successful egg retrieval and have frozen embryos safely stored at the Create fertility centre in Toronto.
We hope to find someone who can help us, who we can talk openly with and build a strong relationship with. We do not have any children yet, but with our two cats we are already a small family. We have nine nieces and nephews who we enjoy spending time with.
