Meet Ali & Jeffrey

Hi! We are so thankful that you are taking the time to look at our bio. A little bit about us, we met on October 24, 2014 through mutual friends at a party and connected instantly. We danced the night away and both knew we had found something special. From the beginning we both knew that one day we would want a family. At the time we lived in different cities and maintained a somewhat long-distance relationship for two and a half-years before moving in together. We have a sweet little fur baby (cat) named Chester who has our whole heart and honestly is a little spoiled! We got engaged in June 2018 and then were married on February 16, 2019. Jeffrey works in health care and Ali works at Manulife. We bought a home in Cambridge, Ontario in May 2020 so that we can grow our family. We are hoping to get started on filling our home with children soon!

Likes:

We both love to spend time with friends and family. In the winter we enjoy hosting games nights where everyone becomes over invested… We might have a bit of a competitive side. In the summer we spend as much time as we can at the Zeuner family cottage. When not with friends and family we enjoy taking on home improvement projects together. Unfortunately, we are not the most skilled handymen and most of our projects end with a phone call to Jeffrey’s dad and sister to save the day (it’s the thought and effort that really counts right?) We enjoy watching movies and t.v. shows together. Although we don’t always agree on what to watch, we enjoy the opportunity to relax and spend some time together. Ali enjoys reading, puzzling and playing video games while Jeffrey enjoys practicing piano, singing, and participating in the local community theatre group (this should paint a pretty good picture of the relationship dynamic!)

What we dream of when we think of our surrogate:

Our dream surrogate would be someone who is honest with us and doesn’t mind getting sent pictures of cats + dogs + (eventual)baby + homemade food. We love sharing everyday moments and being conversational. We are also ok if the surrogate wants her space and only wants to be contacted whenever necessary, it is completely up to her and what her needs are. 🙂

Passions:

We both love to try new things whether it is traveling, trying a new recipe or taking on a home project. Although it doesn’t always go smoothly, we feel pretty good about our ability to dust ourselves off and be ready for the next adventure. We are never scared to try new things because we know that whatever it is, we will get through it together.
