Hello! We are Alise and Myles from Sydney. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile.

We have been happily married for 11 years and are blessed with two beautiful children, who we just adore. Alise is a Social Sciences high school teacher, but is currently staying home to look after our kids and is retraining to be a primary school teacher, and Myles works in finance.

Alise should have died when our son was born. It is an incredible miracle she’s still alive. While we are happy to share the full story with our amazing surrogate when we find her, for now we will say it was a very scary experience for us all. Upon learning I would be unable to carry any more children, my thoughts went straight to the two precious embryos we have from our IVF journey. We had every intention of transferring them ourselves, and now one of our greatest fears is that a surrogate may not select a couple that already has children and our embryos won’t ever get the chance to join our loving family. We hope that you will read our story and it will speak to you, and that you will so generously gift us the opportunity to meet our future child and hold it tightly in our arms.

We now cherish life all the more. Being with our kids and seeing them explore and enjoy life is when we are happiest. We are part of our local Christian church and meeting together on a Sunday is a highlight of our week. We get excited about seeing our family and friends, and sharing a meal with them – we love making pizzas! Both of our extended families live close by and we see them regularly. Being outdoors and going for bushwalks is a favourite weekend pastime. Annual road trips to holiday by the beach is where we’ve made many special memories. We appreciate the simple things in life like a cup of tea or coffee with a friend, kicking a ball around, laughing at funny things our daughter says and devouring an iced donut from the local bakery.
