Meet Kristyna & Jose

We are Kristyna and Jose Duarte and we currently live in New Jersey USA. We met in 2010 and got married in 2016 with just our close friends and family. Together as a couple we enjoy going hiking with our dog who’s an 8 year old Boston Terrier. We also enjoy cooking together and going out to eat to try new foods. We like to travel and learn about new cultures. I enjoy reading, baking and gardening. One of Jose’s hobbies and passions is soccer, he joined a group that he meets with on the weekends and they play soccer together. He also enjoys watching soccer and keeping up with teams and who’s winning.
When we met, we always knew we wanted kids and after we got married we started right away, however it didn’t work out as planned and we faced some difficulties. We went through IUI and IVF unsuccessfully and also found out through the process that I have uterine cancer. In 2020 I had a hysterectomy and after this we needed some time to move on and heal. Fast forward to now, we are ready to start this new journey in our life and hopefully soon become parents! We would love to raise a child together and show them how the world works. We would love to have our child join in on our family holiday traditions. And one day when they’re older, have them play soccer with Jose and bake some cookies with me.
At this stage of the process, we are waiting for our egg donor’s medical clearance and should hopefully start the process in December. We are working with a great lawyer named Cindy. As of this moment, we are looking for our Surrogate who will help us achieve our dreams of becoming a parents.
