We had a late marriage when my wife was at 34 years old. After our marriage, we tried to give birth naturally in a period of 1.5 year but we failed. After that, we went to see a doctor and discovered that my wife had a gynaecological disorder, endometriosis with two cysts in her left ovary and one uterus fibroid. We then tried a couple of months under the doctor”s instruction and monitor. With failure again, we decided to try IVF. In the first IVF attempted, we had 2 embryos and transferred all at one time. But that did not bring us to successful pregnancy. Later on, we tried a few times again, but since my wife”s AMH value is pretty low, we only got 1-3 eggs each time and no embryo could be created in the subsequent IVF attempts. After all those failures, we felt so frustrated and gave up. After some time, we decided to go for adoption in Hong Kong and hoped to have a complete family. However, we could not get though because the Hong Kong’s children adoption pool was very small and many intended parents applied. The adoption process may take serval years or more to get a chance to match a desired child. Now we are 45 years old already and we think that surrogacy may be our last hope to have a baby and make our family complete. My wife and I have already tried all possible ways to have a baby or adopt a child to make a complete family. As my wife is difficult to carry a baby, a surrogate can help us to achieve our baby dream. Although we reside in Hong Kong currently, my wife is a Canadian and so we hope to find a suitable surrogate to help us in Canada.
