Meet Hugo & Jens
Location: Vienna, Austria
We are Jens and Hugo, a couple from France and Germany
living together in Vienna, Austria. We got married in
September 2022, and will soon celebrate our 8 years
anniversary. We love our life together and we feel very lucky,
surrounded by our family and friends. Since we met, it was
always clear to us that we wanted to build our own family.
Our 2 paths luckily crossed in February 2016 in a coffee house in Vienna and since then we
have been happily building our relationship where love and respect keep growing every day.
In our free time, we enjoy travelling, all sorts of outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing and
tennis but also good food and drinks, We value so much the fulfillment and joy that we get
from our daily life together. We also feel very lucky to be able to live our lives freely, with
accepting and loving family and friends surrounding us.
The love we’ve received from our happy families, the joy of being uncles and
godfathers, have shaped our wish to give the same love in return. After exploring
other options, we have decided to proceed on the path of surrogacy with the
hope that we would be able to receive this incredible gift. The altruist aspect of
the Canadian surrogacy process both humbles us and has always been our
preference.
We started our embryo creation and surrogacy process in 2023 and we are
currently waiting for the results of the genetic testing from our donor. We are
ready for the next steps…
To ensure that every moment is a moment of joy, of learning and of security. We strive to
offer our baby the best that we can and will rely on the support and advice of our family and
friends for that. We are lucky to be both able to go on parental leave and will use this time
fully. We also had very present and active parents and intend to do the same.
Vienna is an amazing and very safe city to raise children: full of green spaces, good
kindergartens and schools, it’s a melting pot of cultures and nationalities However, if we wish
to escape the city, we are within minutes in the nature with forests, lakes and mountains.
