Hello,

First of all, thank you very much for taking the time to get to know us and discover our wonderful project.
We are Romain and Laurent, a French couple of 32 and 33 years old.
We live in the north of France, in Lille (just 1 hour from Paris) and we have been a couple since the beginning of our studies (it’s already been 14 years now!)

During these 14 wonderful years, we have traveled a lot and enjoyed what life and the world has to offer.
This allowed us to get to know each other better, and to have the certainty that we were made for each other.
Our various travels and the discovery of several magnificent cultures have also taught us to be humble, respectful, generous and tolerant.
These are very important values ​​to us.

We have always dreamed of becoming parents.
We know that this implies so much commitment and presence that we wanted before embarking on this incredible project, to have two stable professional jobs and a comfortable living environment.

We have a lovely home and has been so important to us to make it ready to welcome our child who will be able to grow and flourish there.
Today, we are completely ready to become fathers and want it so badly. It’s a real dream for us.

We would so much like to enjoy life differently by having the chance to expand our family and offer our child the best life possible.
Our dream would be to see our children experience everything we have had the chance to experience and to teach them the values ​​that make us who we are today. We are taking the steps to welcome and raise our first child, with our dearest wish to have two children in the coming years.

We are so lucky to live close to our loved ones. It would be great for our children to grow up in such a family and friendly environment.
They will be able to blossom with children of their own age, many of our friends also plan to become parents! Some already are and others will be soon.
Our parents do not live very far from us and are impatient for this project to come true. They fully support us.
They are so excited, our child may be their first grandchild! They will be amazing grandparents.
Our child will be welcomed into a family that will give him so much love and will make them fully enjoy life surrounded by all their loved ones.

It is very important to us that our children maintain a link with the surrogate mother who will have made this invaluable gesture of helping us to have a child and who will have given birth to it. This is why we would like to forge a deep bond with her during her pregnancy.

What scares us the most about surrogacy is not being there to give our full support to the surrogate and not being able to support her in those 9 months!
We would like to exchange regularly by Skype / WhatsApp and would like so much to see the woman who will agree to do this incredible gesture for us, during pregnancy and maybe several times after, if she agrees of course!
We would also like to maintain ties after pregnancy so that our children can know where they come from.
This would be an opportunity to introduce them to the beautiful country that is Canada!
We would love to travel with our child as soon as they can to discover the world and all its beautiful cultures!
Also, we could, for example, welcome our surrogate mother to France after the birth for a stay in France and also discover our culture!

When our baby is born, we are lucky to have jobs that will allow us to stay at home for several months to take care of it.
We have already organized this ourselves with our employers.
For the rest, there are many nurseries and nannies very close to our home and our work. We have already studied this point as well.

We started this project a year ago. We went to Toronto in December 2021 to meet the Create Clinic teams.
It seemed so important to us to exchange with all these people, to form human connections and to know where we were going.
The whole team is great and we thank them again for their professionalism.

We are also lucky to be helped by Rachel, our wonderful lawyer who is always available and gives very good advice.
Today, Doctor Librach, who follows our file at the clinic, says that we have a good chance of success!
We already have 12 embryos ready on the 6th day of fertilization, thanks to our incredible donor Tiffany whom we thank again for her magnificent gift.

We hope that these few lines have been enough to prove to you how important this project is for us.
