Meet Veronica & Michael

When Michael met Veronica for the first time, he knew that Veronica would be the one he wanted to be with – and grow old together. It took some convincing – and tried everything for Veronica to think same and agree! Similar interests, similar hobbies and most importantly similar humble family backgrounds. And the rest is as they say, history… living happily together and loving each other every day! We have been together for nearly 21 years now – and before having a child we wanted to ensure that we would have the necessary financial sustainability with great careers, that we would be able to look after our parents and that we would have a home with love and family commitment as its foundation.
We have dreamed of children for 15 years – and until now, it hasn’t felt as real but we are READY! We have tried on our own for many years – and we are wanting it so much that we are now taking the surrogate option… working with our clinic and our lawyer to prepare us for this exciting surrogate journey.
Veronica Says: Michael has many qualities – but which are all born from his COMMITMENT. His commitment to our relationship, his commitment to his mom, dad and sister, his commitment to his friends (“amigos para siempre”), and his commitment to work… essentially, his commitment to be the best he can be and at everything he does – “good is the enemy of great, dare to be great”. He also has an attitude of “I dream, therefore I am”. Before I met Michael, my life was simple – satisfied with what I had and being the first generation of an immigrant family in Canada. It is still the same now however, it is with an attitude of “anything is possible” if you put your mind to it.
Michael Says: What I love most about Veronica is her authenticity, genuineness and caring for others – and her positivity about life. She always tries to look after everyone – and genuinely cares for her family, her friends and people in her community. She can always be relied on if any help is asked or needed. Just an overall great human being. Veronica’s dedication and commitment to tasks at hand are inspiring – “never give up, never surrender” attitude.
Who is going to love this baby: Our child will be loved by many – from the grandparents to the extended family to our friends and their children. Our moms and dad have been waiting so patiently for this magical moment of a child from us. And cannot wait to shower the child with all of their love – understanding that we are taking this surrogate journey, they have given us all of their support and encouragement. Same from our extended family and friends – and their children who are now in their teenage years and looking to have a little brother/sister to love!
When our baby is born, our plans are: With both of us working now in a hybrid environment, we will be most of the time at home. We will be making sure we take turns to be and look after the baby. Additionally, we know that both our moms and dad will want to be around to – to help and support us in any way… while they do not live with us currently, they already have their own rooms in our house. We can see them moving in!Finally, we have already made plans as well to have a full-time nanny who can come in and help us too.
During holidays: When we have a child, we will be so excited to travel around – educating and teaching him/her about Canada… this great country we are privileged to live in… from coast to coast, we cannot wait to travel. And also around the world – to understand history and where we fit in history. We will also look forward to spend quality family & friends time together – learning, enjoying and appreciating everyone.
When we think about our baby: We are most excited about bringing a new life in this world one who will be striving to make this world a better place… we are looking forward to pass our own life journey, our experiences and knowledge which can help inform-shape the baby’s life journey. We also think of the bundle of joy that the baby will bring to us, our moms and dad, our extended family and friends!
