Meet Tom & Amber

We are Tom and Amber. Both born in 1990.

We live together in the east of the Netherlands in Saasveld. It is a small village where we live where it is quiet and green.

Since 2005 we have a relationship and in 2016 we got married in front of our family and friends. We already have many family and friends around us who have families. We are very involved in this and want to know everything about everything in order to search as much as possible for what would suit us. That’s why we love to talk about it together about how we view parenting. The layout of the possible children’s room has also been discussed several times (haha). Years ago we knew surrogacy was what suits our story best to make this special dream come true. Through surrogacy we can have a child of our own with the characteristics we love so much together, such as Tom’s beautiful eyes and sweet character.

Tom is an electrician at a company in our village, he has been working there since 2006. He loves to play and looking football in the weekend with his friends. Amber is a nurse and works in the hospital and at people’s homes as a coach for people with sleep apnea. She loves running and plays alto and soprano saxophone.

Together we spend a lot of time with are family and friends. Go out to dinner sometimes and love to go on vacation. And dreaming of the day our parenting dreams come true. The thing that excites us most about parenting is being able to give love to something so very special. The walks in the woods, the family visits, reading the books before going to sleep.

Amber was born with the MRKH-syndrome. Because of that, it was for us at a very young age clear, we would not be blessed to make our own family on a natural way. Despite this, we knew from an early age we wanted a family together. For a number of years, we have been looking for the best way for us to make true this great wish. Then we heard about surrogacy and that means that our great wish can become real by such a wonderful person like you. Unfortunately, it was not possible for us to become pregnant medically with our first surrogate. We had very nice, and pleasant conversations with her. It did us good to see that it can be very uncomfortable not only for us but also for the surrogate mother. But that talking about this is relieves so much of the uncertainty. We found it so much easier to be open to each other.

In the 1st re-match, 2 times a transfer took place. We have noticed that this is an extremely exciting and mega restless time in which Amber is especially nervous and Tom is fortunately able to put things into perspective. Continuing to communicate is very important to us. We are open to an app, email. even if it’s just to chat and get through the day.

In 2018 we became for the first time uncle and aunt of our sweet little niece Lieke and in 2020 two sweet nieces Jill and Sofie. We like to spend a lot of time with them and enjoy it to the fullest. We have a great sense of love for them and would like to give this and more to our own son/daughter.

We have dreamed of children from a early age but in 2018 we were in Toronto Canada to create our own embryos and from that moment it`s really starting to get real. The only thing missing for us is a sweet caring surrogate who want to start this journey with us.

We hope to be involved in the pregnancy and would like to have weekly contact. This to know how you are doing and whether we can help with anything. But also a light conversation to just ask how your day was.

We hope to have a good, open and respectful relationship with each other, where feelings but certainly doubts, can be discussed. We think you are a fantastic person if you do something like this, so beautiful, for an unknown couple.
