Canadian Infertility Awareness Week | April 24-30, 2022

What sparked your interest in surrogacy? For many of those in our program, they became a surrogate because infertility has touched their life in a deep way. They watched someone close to them go through miscarriages and/ IVF, and were deeply touched by this and decided to help someone who is also struggling.

This week we asked our Surrogates to take a poll for Canadian Infertility Awareness Week, and 65% said that having someone close to them experience infertility / knowing that they could help build a family was what sparked their interest in surrogacy.

You might be surprised to learn that one in six Canadians struggles with some form of infertility.

For every one surrogate that is matched, there are over 25 other surrogacy parents waiting to meet a surrogate that will help them build up their family.

Here are just a few reasons why a prospective parent may need a surrogate mother to build their family:

  • loss of fertility due to hysterectomy or cancer.
  • required medications that could prevent a healthy pregnancy or baby.
  • reproductive conditions such as fibroids, absence of a uterus, endometriosis, PCOS, or other gynaecological issues.
  • chronic pregnancy loss or unexplained infertility.
  • and so many more….

These couples featured below have all struggled for so long with infertility, and they have come to us to help them. They are dreaming of finding the person who can grow their family. With Canadian Infertility Awareness Week coming to an end today, can you help us give hope to the Canadian couples featured below? Let me know if you think you could be the one to give them a family!
