To our future surrogate
We are currently standing in the empty, unfinished walls of the home we’re building, imagining the sound of little footsteps running around and laughter filling the rooms. We picture a day, a few years from now, when our child will video call you with a huge smile in the house and say “I love you” in English, French, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. In that moment, you’ll see the love you helped bring into the world, love that will keep growing for generations.
We’re Wei and Kevin, a same-sex couple living in Montreal. Wei is 41 and Taiwanese-Canadian, and Kevin is 32 and Québécois. Our hearts have been ready for this for a long time, and the idea of meeting you fills us with so much gratitude. You’re not just part of this journey, you’re the person who makes it possible.
We’re lucky to have 16 PGT-A tested embryos safely stored at CReATe Fertility Centre in Toronto.
Each one feels like a little piece of hope. We were previously matched with a wonderful surrogate in Nanaimo who unfortunately had to step away for health reasons. While unexpected, that experience reminded us how precious this whole process is, and how thankful we’ll be when we finally meet the person meant to walk this path with us.
Our families are excited and ready to surround this baby with love. Wei’s parents are in their 80s, with six older sisters and a bunch of nephews and nieces. Kevin’s parents are in their early 60s, and he has one younger brother. Between everyone, this child will grow up wrapped in so much care, laughter, and support.
To us, you’ll be more than a surrogate, you’ll be a friend and a part of our family’s story forever. We love spending time outdoors, picking flowers, paddleboarding, skating, exploring new cities, and we’d love to share some of that joy with you if you’d like. And if you prefer quiet moments, we’re just as happy going to concerts, theatre, museums, or trying something creative together like pottery or cooking.
We really value open and honest communication. Whether we chat every day or a few times a week, what matters most is that we feel connected and comfortable. We want you to always feel supported and appreciated, through the highs and the hard days too.
We dream about raising our child surrounded by nature, swimming in lakes, hiking, gardening, and traveling to see the world. We want them to grow up curious, kind, and full of joy, and to always know the special person who helped bring them into the world. We’d love to share milestones and memories with you over the years, because you’ll always be part of our story. You will forever have a place in our hearts, in our families, and in our child’s life.
